Primary SENCo Role in Outstanding School

We are seeking an experienced SENCo to join our team in a thriving primary school based in Bromley. The school has a strong commitment to providing high-quality education and care for its students, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for making a difference in the lives of children.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in SEN provision, with experience in carrying out 1:1 assessments and managing EHCPs. They will also have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about SEN and has a strong desire to make a positive impact on the lives of children. If you are a qualified primary teacher with a SENCO qualification or a strong desire to gain one, and have experience with Special Educational Needs, we would love to hear from you.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out normal Primary SENCO duties, including sorting through EHCPs, carrying out 1:1 assessments, and assisting with the admin side of the role. They will also be expected to have a strong understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and the Primary Curriculum.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status and relevant educational degree.
  • Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum and current educational trends.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
