About the RoleThe Council for the Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) is Northern Ireland's principal educational body responsible for Curriculum Development and Implementation, Examinations and Qualifications and Assessment.
CCEA plays a central role in Northern Ireland's education system, setting curriculum frameworks, administering exams, and providing innovative assessment solutions.
As a key body within the education system, CCEA influences how young people learn, achieve, and progress in their educational journey with a mission to enable the full potential of all learners to be achieved and recognised.
Key Responsibilities- Strong leadership and ability to make informed strategic decisions, considering opportunity, impact and risk
- Influence across a diverse stakeholder base to reform the Northern Ireland curriculum and qualifications
- Deliver positive learning outcomes for all our children and young people
