Accounts Management Expert

RG Consultancy is pleased to be partnering with an established engineering company to find a highly skilled Senior Accounts Assistant to join their team on a 12-month maternity contract.
This Senior Accounts Assistant role will serve as the primary point of contact in accounts and report to a Finance Manager in a sister company.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing sales and purchase ledgers
- Preparing and closing the month-end ledger
- Coordinating payroll preparation
- Overseeing all incoming and outgoing payments
- Preparing accounts to trial balance
- Managing the cashbook and performing bank reconciliations
This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who has previously held a similar position and has experience with payroll management. Familiarity with Xero would be an asset.
The role will cover a maternity leave and will be approximately 30 hours per week, which can be either four full days or spread across five shorter working days.
