Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker/Personal Assistant to provide support for an individual with a learning disability in the Blyth area. The successful candidate will work closely with the individual and their family to ensure their needs are met and their quality of life is improved.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support with daily living tasks, including showering, dressing, and medication management.
  • Assist with mobility and handling, using a ceiling track hoist and wheelchair.
  • Support with continence issues and the use of a Convene Catheter.
  • Accompany the individual on outings and activities, promoting social interaction and community engagement.
  • Maintain accurate records of the individual's care and support needs.

Requirements:

  • Experience of supporting individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Understanding of epilepsy and its management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a mobility vehicle.
