We are seeking highly qualified individuals to join our data science community at Old Dominion University. As a leading institution in the field, we are committed to advancing the field of data science and providing our students with the best possible education.

About the Position

We are looking for faculty members who can contribute to our data science programming, starting in Fall 2024. The successful candidates will have a strong research portfolio and a commitment to excellence and innovation in education.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and teach in an interdisciplinary environment
  • Collaborate with researchers at national laboratories and other institutions
  • Develop and teach undergraduate data science related courses
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in a relevant field
  • Strong research portfolio and publication record
  • Ability to interact and communicate clearly with internal and external constituencies
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expertise in data science and related fields
  • Experience in teaching and research in an interdisciplinary environment
