Job Opportunity

At Home Instead, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in activities that promote their physical and mental well-being.
  • Assist with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring clients maintain their independence and dignity.
  • Help with mobility and transfers, ensuring clients can move safely and comfortably around their homes.
  • Oversee medication administration and provide medical support, working closely with clients and their families to ensure their needs are met.
  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and laundry, to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
  • Prepare and cook meals, promoting healthy eating habits and social interaction.
  • Run errands, such as grocery shopping or picking up prescriptions, to support clients' daily needs.

Requirements

  • Compassionate and empathetic nature, with a strong desire to support vulnerable adults.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and their families.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the changing needs of clients.
  • Basic knowledge of personal care and medication administration, with a willingness to learn and develop skills.
