About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietitian to join our team at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Community Dietitian, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality dietetic services to patients in their own homes and in a clinic setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver dietetic assessments and interventions to a complex caseload of patients, working closely with a band 4 practitioner.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based dietetic plans to improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals and therapists, to provide comprehensive care.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and pathways, ensuring best practice in dietetic care.
  • Provide education and training to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals on nutrition and dietetic topics.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent.
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Dietitian.
  • Member of the British Dietetic Association (BDA).
  • Proven experience in community dietetics, with a focus on complex casework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, carers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to travel routinely and independently across Ipswich and East Suffolk and North East Essex.
