McLaren Automotive is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team. As a key member of our Group Reporting team, you will be responsible for financial control, planning, and reporting for 4 central business entities within the McLaren Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monthly postings to accounting system (SAP), ensuring general ledger accounts are maintained and accurately reflect the financial performance/position of entities.
  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, involving reconciling the general ledger to the financials reported by the business and understanding any variances.
  • Performing month-end variance analysis to support operational colleagues in delivering business objectives.
  • Preparation of year-end statutory accounts for subsidiary entities.
  • Liaising with external auditors, and the preparation of audit deliverables for the half year and full year audits.

Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience working in accountancy or finance.
  • An accountancy qualification/part-qualification would be beneficial (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, AAT or equivalent) or a desire to undertake a professional accountancy qualification.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge and experience of financial accounting and reporting systems (particularly SAP, SAP Analytics Cloud and Caseware Working Papers) would be beneficial.
