Financial Controller

As a key member of the financial accounting function, you will be responsible for the balance sheet reconciliations for the organisation. You will have a strong understanding of treasury and tax, in order to provide a variety of additional support to the wider team.
Key Responsibilities- Manage balance sheet reconciliations project on new software
- Ensure a thorough and robust review process for the balance sheet and supporting management information
- Develop insightful commentary and identify risks and opportunities within the balance sheet for board reporting
- Ensure compliance with statutory reporting
- Actively work to optimise the control environment, including improving and refreshing supporting documentation, working with the group internal audit function, and leading on internal engagement with support from head office
- Become a key user and administrator of all financial reporting and accounting IT systems and controls
- Liaise with the tax manager to provide coverage and support, including controlling and managing all indirect tax submissions
