Job Summary:

NonStop Consulting is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fostering Team Manager to join our client, a national fostering provider, in their West Midlands branch. This is an ongoing contract role, offering stability and a good work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will oversee a team of about 4 Supervising Social Workers, a therapist, and a few admin workers, working closely with the Registered Fostering Manager. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing a team of social workers and therapists to provide high-quality care and support to foster children and families.
  • Developing and implementing effective strategies to improve outcomes for children and families.
  • Collaborating with the Registered Fostering Manager to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and agency policies.
  • Providing coaching and guidance to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Managing budgets and resources to ensure efficient use of agency funds.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working in a fostering setting, preferably in a management role.
  • A driving license and ability to travel to various locations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, children, and families.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
