We are seeking a skilled and reliable individual to join our cleaning team at Scottish Borders Council. As a Cleaning Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring that cleaning is carried out as per the contract specification and Work Schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out cleaning tasks as assigned by the cleaning supervisor
  • Ensure that all areas are cleaned to a high standard
  • Report any maintenance issues to the facilities team
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the cleaning team

Requirements:

  • No formal qualifications are required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift and move heavy cleaning equipment
