Job Title: Remedial Engineer

The Hydro-X Group is seeking a skilled Remedial Engineer to join our team. As a Remedial Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and integrity of our facilities by carrying out inspections, installations, and repairs of fire safety systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular inspections of fire dampers and ventilation systems to ensure compliance with BS9999 and DW144/145.
  • Install and repair passive fire stopping and fire dampers, including ductwork modifications.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance tasks as instructed.
  • Make recommendations for major repairs to the physical plant.
  • Recommend the purchase of goods and equipment.
  • Maintain personal equipment and materials stocks inventories.
  • Provide written reports as required.
  • Ensure records are maintained.
Requirements:
  • Proficient knowledge of ventilation systems management in accordance with TR19.
  • Knowledge of fire damper testing and issue reporting in accordance with BS9999.
  • Experience with access doors installation in accordance with DW144.
  • Knowledge of passive fire stopping in accordance with The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
