About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Competition Lawyer to join our award-winning Competition team at TLT. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in advising clients on a wide range of antitrust matters, from merger control work to investigations and behavioural advice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise clients on antitrust matters, including merger control, competition investigations, and behavioural advice.
  • Undertake National Security and Investment Act analyses and notifications.
  • Advise on subsidy control and associated policy.
  • Provide insightful commercial and regulatory advice to clients.
  • Seek and build new work opportunities and reinforce existing client relationships through targeted marketing and business development initiatives.
  • Assist with the supervision of more junior lawyers and contribute to the development of the firm's offering locally and nationally.
Requirements
  • A Qualified Solicitor (SRA or Registered Foreign Lawyer or equivalent) with circa 6-12 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Good level of experience across two or more areas of the antitrust spectrum, including merger control, competition investigations, compliance programs, and behavioural advice.
  • Proven expertise in at least one area, with experience in competition litigation and subsidy control being highly desirable.
  • Strong business development skills, with a proven track record of creating, nurturing, and sustaining strong client relationships.
  • Experience of supervising and/or managing a small team, including matrix management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with clients and colleagues at all levels.
