Job Title: Materials Technology Specialist at Trelleborg Sealing Solutions

As a key member of the Materials team at Trelleborg Sealing Solutions, your primary responsibility will be to assess, analyze, and enhance the fundamental properties of adhesives, coatings, paints, and solutions utilized in our manufacturing processes. This encompasses both raw materials and finished products. The role requires full-time presence at our facility, so candidates should be prepared for daily commuting or consider relocation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the effective execution, management, and regulation of production processes.
  • Consistently meet customer expectations as well as statutory and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and evaluate coatings, bonding agents, paints, and adhesive materials, with a focus on rubber-to-metal and composite applications.
  • Investigate and provide support for production and process-related issues.
  • Evaluate chemical hazards in accordance with COSHH regulations.
  • Analyze production setbacks and process failures, including performance reports related to customer service.
  • Establish testing methodologies and supervise the control of testing procedures.
  • Conduct laboratory evaluations of materials, taking into account environmental considerations.
  • Assist the team with routine production testing activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is beneficial but not essential.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and laboratory operations, along with testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with protective coatings, paint systems, metal treatments, and adhesive technologies.
  • Experience in creating technical documentation and specifications for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • A collaborative team player dedicated to achieving results and providing optimal solutions for a positive customer experience.
  • Capability to contribute innovative concepts and appreciate the importance of individual contributions to the overall success of the organization.
  • Up to 5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
