M&E Cost Consultant Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and assess supplier and subcontractor inquiries.
  • Draft and distribute contract documents to the supply chain.
  • Manage financial and contractual oversight of subcontractor accounts.
  • Provide data analysis and insights on issues and risks.
  • Authorize the issuance of contracts, purchase orders, and change orders.
  • Engage with subcontractors regarding variations and final accounts.
  • Submit valuations and negotiate with the main contractor/client.
  • Agree on variations with the main contractor/client.
  • Finalize accounts with the main contractor.
  • Report on project performance internally, including Cost Value Reports (CVRs).

M&E Cost Consultant Requirements:
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering with 3 to 5+ years of commercial experience.
  • Skilled in reviewing technical drawings for variations, valuations, and take-offs.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Self-driven with a positive attitude and a high level of professionalism.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially MS Excel.
