Main Purpose of the Role

To play a key role in supporting the Fundraising team at Retina UK, contributing to the development and coordination of various fundraising activities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist with the stewardship of fundraising supporters across different income areas, focusing on supporter retention and engagement.
  2. Utilize the charity database to analyze data, generate reports, and ensure accurate fundraising records and folders.
  3. Support with and coordinate seasonal raffles, mail-outs, and merchandise, managing stock levels effectively.
  4. Conduct regular supporter research to ensure Retina UK remains innovative with fundraising activities.
  5. Liaise with venues, supporters, exhibitors, and attendees ahead of fundraising events and activities.
  6. Thank supporters appropriately and update supporter letter templates quarterly to effectively communicate the value of donor contributions.
  7. Take a proactive approach in guiding supporters and potential fundraisers on how they can be involved with Retina UK, offering clear advice on fundraising opportunities.
  8. Work collaboratively to maintain an efficient and practical admin system, arranging and attending fundraising team meetings as needed.
Requirements

Minimum of 1 year working in a similar role, educated to 'A' level standard or commensurate experience, IT literate, and highly adept in the use of MS Office Suite.

High standard of written and verbal English and grammar, database experience, and ability to empathize with people with disabilities.

Confident, polite, and cheerful telephone manner, quick learner, and ability to manage a busy workload.
