Job Title: Manager Designate

Location: Kingston

The Role:

The Manager Designate will be a key player in driving business growth, maximizing sales turnover, and profitability by achieving targets, minimizing costs, and delighting customers. This role requires a strong leader who can set standards within the store, be a role model to the team, and consistently deliver to company expectations on sales and service, operations, and product.

The Manager Designate will display exceptional leadership style, lead from the front, and hold colleagues accountable for both performance and behaviors. This includes meeting and exceeding store targets, driving performance by reviewing and analyzing performance versus target, completing SMART action plans to address any underperforming areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the sales floor as the daily priority, ensuring sales opportunities are grasped and maximized, and that windows are actively managed and clients are approached in a non-business way by the most appropriate, capability-tested team member.
  • Exceptional stock management, ensuring that best practice stock controls are maintained and that stock loss is at, or below, the company average.
  • Secure merchandise by complying with security systems and measures, ensuring all colleagues are fully trained on security procedures.
  • Maintain the highest standards for store and colleague presentation, upholding the luxury brand image, working with facilities to maintain store fabric and highlight any repair or renewal of assets where required.
  • Effectively manage the rota system and ensure staffing levels are maintained to offer the best service while staying within budgeted parameters.
  • Maximize the sales performance of the store by utilizing all commercial reports available before making commercial decisions.
  • Identify new business development areas in order to increase sales, including continuous competitor analysis and action planning with SMART objectives.
  • Create an exciting culture of delighting customers, manage external feedback sites (Google reviews, etc.) to promote our 'A Cut Above' philosophy, and be responsible for increasing client base and driving actions to increase customer loyalty.
  • Develop store succession plans through effective and timely recruitment, regular 121s, coaching logs, and development of the team to achieve their goals.
