About the Role

We are seeking an experienced EO Technical Supervisor to join our team at the Defence Weapons Research Facility (DWRF) in Edinburgh. As a key member of our Explosive Ordnance Services (EOS) team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our EO facilities and operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise EO technical staff and manage the operation of DST EO S&T sites, ensuring safety and compliance with relevant regulations and protocols.
  • Oversee the storage, handling, and transport of project assets, EO, and Non-Explosive Dangerous Goods (NEDG), performing stock control tasks, including inspections and inventory assurance.
  • Manage and maintain EO facilities, conduct inspections and maintenance on load-shifting equipment and vehicles, and support general housekeeping of EO and warehouse facilities.
  • Provide technical and logistical support to AOT, ORF, and DWRF stakeholders, assisting with asset disposal and contributing to the improvement of logistical processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all security protocols, occupational health and safety policies, and environmental guidelines, participating in emergency evacuation teams and drills.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of storage, distribution, and/or warehousing, as well as MS Office suite.
  • Ability to lead a small team with proven stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Current holder (or have held in the past) of a Defence Security Clearance NV1 or above.
  • Knowledge and experience of EO facilities inspection and stock checks.
