We are seeking a highly skilled Transport Operations Specialist to join our team at Kinaxia Logistics. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for executing collection and delivery schedules in a cost-effective and efficient manner, while ensuring high levels of customer service and compliance with legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize IT systems and vehicles to allocate drivers, vehicles, loads, and trailers effectively, and communicate plans to internal and external customers to improve departmental efficiency and the Group's overall performance.
- Ensure sufficient driver staffing levels are in place at all times, including agency staff, to meet customer requirements.
- Manage driver hours by authorizing driver timesheets on a weekly basis.
- Track the status of drivers and vehicles to ensure collections and deliveries are on target, and communicate delays to customers in a timely manner.
- Deploy service recovery actions when required to prevent customer collection or delivery failures.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, including load sheets for the warehouse, handovers to relevant individuals or departments, and key stakeholders for operational delays.
- Work collaboratively with the team and participate in cross-training initiatives to provide effective cover in colleagues' absences.
- Identify, communicate, and drive continuous improvements to develop the operation of the business.
- Maintain a high standard of general housekeeping and work safely, complying with all health and safety regulations to maintain a clean, safe, and tidy working environment.
- Communicate clearly with colleagues and drivers to ensure customer KPIs and targets are achieved and maintained, including driver debriefs, manifest reviews, and updates to any amendments or notes.
- Working knowledge of the Highway Code, EU tachograph requirements, Working Time Regulations, and Road Transport Regulations.
- Working knowledge of transport operation systems.
- Logistics qualification desirable.

- Ability to analyze and solve logistic problems.
