About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Pharmacy Services Assistant to join our dynamic Distribution Team at Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in day-to-day routine activities of the distribution and ward services under the supervision of the Distribution Lead, in line with current policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the delivery of an efficient distribution service to Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and other commissioned services.
  • Work independently following standard operating procedures following competency assessment.
  • Have shared responsibility for reducing waste and expenditure.
  • This role requires long periods of activity and heavy lifting.
  • Undertake and complete a Pharmacy Level 2 qualification.
  • Participate in weekend and early/late night rotas as required.
Requirements
  • A good standard of general education and attainment of a GCSE grade C or above in Mathematics and English (or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivation, and a flexible approach to work.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and have a flexible approach.
  • Computer literacy, although appropriate training on pharmacy systems will be provided.
