About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Advisor to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As a Fleet Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet, providing exceptional customer service, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate fleet maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and manufacturer specifications.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external suppliers and workshops to negotiate best value for money and ensure timely delivery of services.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to drivers and operators to minimize vehicle downtime and optimize maintenance schedules.
  • Monitor and analyze fleet performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the traffic operations team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of fleet activities.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of maintenance and repair activities, including defect reports and compliance paperwork.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to minimize vehicle off-road time and reduce costs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, responding to queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in fleet management, transportation, or a related field, with a strong understanding of HGV maintenance and operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and implement effective solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet changing business needs.
  • Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software applications, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly.
