Software Developer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our team at NEC Software Solutions. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend components of our healthcare software solutions using.NET C#.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable and robust applications using.NET C#.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers, UX designers, and other stakeholders to create seamless and efficient applications.
  • Implement and manage RESTful APIs and ensure they are secure and efficient.
  • Optimise and refactor existing code to improve performance and scalability.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for the team.
  • Work with HL7 FHIR standards to integrate and manage healthcare data.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues to maintain the quality and reliability of the software.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Previous professional experience in backend development using.NET C#.
  • Proficient in working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Strong understanding of the.NET ecosystem, OOP principles, and multi-threading.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with HL7 FHIR and EHR systems is highly desirable.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with frontend technologies (e.g., Blazor) is a plus.
  • Understanding of security principles and how to apply them to healthcare data.
