About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Energy Communications Specialist to join our team in the UK. As a key member of our Communications team, you'll play a critical role in supporting our energy portfolio in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of our communication strategy for the UK energy portfolio.
  • Collaborate with the UK Communication Manager to advise senior management and provide strategic and operational communication support to the UK business.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of our media strategy, including preparation of messaging and media briefs for senior management.
  • Develop compelling storytelling content to support increased engagement on various external and internal communication channels.
  • Identify and drive proactive engagement opportunities with relevant political, industry, and community stakeholders in collaboration with the wider UK communication team.
  • Lead the planning and coordination of key conferences, events, and sponsorships.
  • Be responsible for Equinor's UK emergency response communication strategy.

Requirements

  • University degree in a relevant field of communication, marketing, business, international relations, or similar.
  • Proven experience within political stakeholder engagement or in the energy sector is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to act as a communication advisor to senior management and technical experts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with social media content generation and publishing.
