Job Title: Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at Catch22 Independent School. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the teacher in delivering engaging and successful lessons to our students.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with varying needs, including those with English as an Additional Language (EAL), Special Educational Needs (SEN), and speech and language difficulties.
  • Assist the teacher in planning and delivering lessons, including those defined in Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching team to implement behaviour management strategies and develop relationships with students who may be vulnerable or have complex needs.
  • Liaise with other agencies to ensure that student needs are fully met.
Requirements:
  • Level 2 English and Maths qualifications.
  • Knowledge of statutory requirements, including equal opportunities, discrimination, health and safety, SEN, and safeguarding of children.
  • Experience of working with children with EAL, SEN, speech and language difficulties, or other complex needs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive attitude towards learning and behaviour management.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary of £19, £21,383.50 pro-rata (based on £23,000 - £25,000 per annum) *based on experience.
  • Full-time, 37 hours per week, permanent contract with 39 weeks per year.
