About the Role

Bennett & Game Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly experienced SHEQ Advisor to join their team at Hinkley Point. As a SHEQ Advisor, you will play a crucial role in upholding the highest Health, Safety, and Environmental standards across the project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Aid the project management teams in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to industry best practices and company policies.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to ensure SHEQ compliance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Manage and maintain plant and materials, ensuring safe operation and minimizing risks.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the workforce, promoting a culture of safety and consistency.
  • Support operations planning and delivery, ensuring seamless execution of projects.
  • Manage contractors, ensuring adherence to HSEQ standards and protocols.
  • Conduct equipment inspections and deliver training programs to ensure compliance and competence.
  • Lead incident investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Develop and disseminate educational materials to promote a culture of safety and compliance.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a NEBOSH Construction Certificate and a Valid CSCS card.
  • Experience and up-to-date knowledge of RC Frameworks and Ground Works.
  • Proficiency in Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Outstanding IT skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email.
  • Work experience in Construction, Engineering, or Tunnelling.
  • IEMA Environmental Qualification.
  • Temporary Works Coordinator, Fire Risk Assessor, CoSHH Assessor, TEEPs, and TSTS would be advantageous.
  • Experience with lifting equipment, i.e., Cranes.
  • Knowledge of Behavioural Safety.
  • Security cleared or able to obtain this.
