We are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to join our Quality Department, responsible for ensuring adherence to quality standards throughout the entire project lifecycle.

In this role, you will serve as the primary contact for all quality-related matters within the supply chain for a designated portfolio of work. You will collaborate closely with the Quality Delivery Manager and their Multi Discipline Team, providing essential quality management expertise.

Key Responsibilities...

  • Develop and implement quality assurance and control arrangements for deployment across the HPC organization, focusing on critical areas such as Quality Execution Management, Technical Supplier Assessments, and Non-Conformance Management.
  • Proactively address quality implementation issues and facilitate improvements, supporting team members in these efforts.
  • Review and monitor Contractors Quality Assurance Plans (CQAP) submitted by the supply chain.
  • Identify requirements for supply chain audits and coordinate with Supply Chain Auditors to ensure timely resolution of findings.
  • Create Project Quality Control Plans (PQCP) for each contract to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Provide guidance to contractors regarding CQAPs, partitioning strategies, and planning for Quality Related Activities.
  • Ensure that manufacturing surveillance is conducted according to contract specifications, focusing on equipment safety and project significance through effective monitoring of inspection agencies.

Candidate Profile...

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Relevant HNC/HND qualification or degree in a scientific or engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience in implementing diverse quality-related solutions.
  • Demonstrated leadership in quality assurance/control within the nuclear sector or other safety-critical industries.
  • Proven ability to engage with and resolve issues among a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Experience in project delivery with a strong emphasis on quality management, alongside a solid understanding of Quality Assurance and Quality Control in large-scale projects across various phases.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality management best practices applicable to large, complex, contract-driven organizations.
  • Experience interfacing with project teams and supply chain entities.
  • Strong influencing skills and the ability to provide constructive feedback that is well-received.
  • Capacity to build effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to plan and work independently.
