Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Psychology Graduate to join our team as a SEN Teaching Assistant in a Secondary School in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham.

This role is perfect for a top Psychology Graduate looking to begin their career in Teaching and Child Psychology. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students with special needs, providing academic guidance in small focus groups or in a 1:1 setting, and offering emotional support to students with Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students with special needs in a Secondary School setting
  • Providing academic guidance and emotional support to students
  • Working closely with proactive and passionate Teachers who are experts in psychology and pedagogy
  • Developing and implementing strategies to support students with SEN
  • Collaborating with the teaching team to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • First-Class Psychology Graduate from a top UK University
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other support staff
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced school environment
  • Previous experience working with SEN students is preferred but not essential
