Operations Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Mercure Liverpool Atlantic Tower Hotel. As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the effective operational management of the hotel, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and that our revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the hotel's operational departments, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor and control costs, ensuring that they are within budget and that any variances are addressed promptly.
  • Lead and develop the hotel's management team, providing coaching, guidance, and support to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Respond to guest feedback and complaints, ensuring that issues are resolved promptly and to the guest's satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager and other hotel departments to achieve business objectives and improve overall hotel performance.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in hotel operations, preferably in a senior management role.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with guests, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address operational issues.
