Main Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be a leading member of a well-established, community children and young people's mental health service. They will provide input to the Preston CYP service and Royal Preston Hospital A&E and Paediatric ward.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Participate on the Consultant On Call rota, for which additional remuneration will be payable.
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise to the Preston CAMHS Team.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans for children and young people with mental health issues.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care for patients.
  • Contribute to the development of the Trust's mental health services and strategies.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • MBBS or equivalent qualification.
  • Full GMC registration and Licence to Practise.
  • On GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months.
  • Section 12 approved or within 3 months.
  • AC status or within 3 months.
