About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Clerk to join our team at Entrust Governor Services. As a Clerk, you will provide administrative support to school governing boards and academy trusts, ensuring the smooth operation of meetings and the maintenance of accurate records.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administration, compliance, or management, with excellent minute-taking skills and the ability to work independently. You will be responsible for liaising with Headteachers and Chairs of Governors, collating and distributing papers, and producing accurate and succinct minutes and action logs.

This is a term-time only role, with the majority of work being completed from home. You will be required to attend meetings at assigned schools and use your own transport, with mileage reimbursed at 45p per mile.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with Headteachers and Chairs of Governors to prepare meeting agendas and papers
  • Collate and distribute papers using an online portal
  • Keep accurate membership records and ensure governors approaching the end of their term of office are identified and arrangements made for elections or replacements
  • Attend governing board meetings and produce accurate, succinct minutes and action logs
  • Support and advise the governing board to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and procedures
