About the Role

Carrington West is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Infrastructure Team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing drainage and infrastructure systems for various projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop drainage and infrastructure systems for residential, commercial, and industrial developments
  • Collaborate with the Infrastructure Team and Senior Director to produce engineering designs for planning applications, detailed designs, and construction
  • Produce and issue technical drawings for tender and construction purposes in accordance with design standards and quality management procedures
  • Develop and implement drainage and levels strategies in support of planning applications, including flood risk assessment reports
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide sound advice on infrastructure design and implementation
Requirements
  • HNC or BEng Civil Engineering degree
  • Consultancy or private sector development background with experience working on residential development
  • Experience with drainage designs, strategies, and flood risk assessment for both private and adoptable works
  • Experience in the production of technical drawings for tender and construction purposes for various infrastructure projects
  • Numerate and software literate, including experience and knowledge of Microdrainage and AutoCAD
  • Experience in legal, planning, and technical consent, adoption, and contract procedures for the design and implementation of drainage in new developments and regeneration projects
  • Experience applying the principles, design codes, and standards set out in the SuDS Manual and DCG
  • Persuasive and a strong team player with a people-oriented approach
  • Effective organizational and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively
  • Proactive, strategic, and analytical in your approach to support client requirements
