About the Role

Carrington West is seeking an experienced Transportation Planner to join their Development Planning team. This role involves delivering high-quality transportation planning services to support development projects from inception to implementation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review transportation assessments and statements to support planning applications.
  • Conduct traffic modeling and analysis using software such as TRICS, Junctions 9, LinSig, and VISSIM.
  • Liaise with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to ensure project compliance.
  • Develop and promote sustainable transportation strategies.
  • Interpret and apply transportation policies to development proposals.
  • Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations for various stakeholders.
  • Oversee and conduct transportation surveys and data analysis.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Transportation Planning, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in transportation planning within the development planning sector.
  • Proficiency in transportation modeling and analysis software.
  • Strong understanding of UK transportation policy and planning processes.
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing transportation assessments and statements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., CIHT, TPS, ICE) is desirable.
