Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Engineer to join our team at Primus Connect. As a Lead Data Engineer, you will be responsible for leading a team of talented Data Engineers to drive business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 6 Data Engineers with a mix of experience from Junior to Senior, providing coaching and mentorship to help them grow in their careers.
- Contribute to the build and development of the data engineering capabilities within the team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes and improve data-driven decision making.
- Develop and implement data engineering best practices and standards to ensure high-quality data delivery.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the team remains competitive and innovative.
Requirements:
- Excellent data engineering experience with Azure and Databricks technologies.
- Strong Databricks experience and PySpark skills are essential, certifications are desirable.
- Strong experience with the Azure Data stack including ADF.
- Previous experience of technical leadership and/or management of data engineers.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience in the insurance sector would be of interest but is not required.
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary range of £80,000 - £90,000.
- Excellent benefits package, including an annual bonus.
- A hybrid working arrangement, with 2 days required per week in the office and the rest able to be worked from home.
