WorkwithYork is seeking a qualified Capital Projects Officer to oversee the execution of projects within the client's Planned and Cyclical Investment Programme for Building Services.
In this role, you will collaborate with a dedicated team to manage building projects, which includes responsibilities such as procurement, site oversight, budget control, and contract management. You will maintain regular communication throughout the project lifecycle, engaging in site visits and progress meetings with Contractors, Surveyors, Architects, and Structural Engineers.
Our client is looking for a motivated and knowledgeable individual who is well-versed in both traditional and innovative construction techniques, as well as familiar with British Standards and Building Regulations.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- HNC in Building Studies or a related field (NQF level 5) or equivalent experience
- Proficient understanding of Contract Administration and various Forms of Contract
- Strong background in CDM regulations
- Preferably, a solid grasp of asset management within the social housing sector
- Technical design expertise in building repair, renovation, and modernization, including the ability to draft specifications for materials and ensure quality installation standards
This is an interim position, initially for a duration of three months, with the possibility of extension. The compensation for this role is competitive, up to £18.14 per hour, based on experience.
