Optometrist - Cataract Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Optometrist to join our team at the Gillingham Surgical Centre, a leading provider of ophthalmic services. As an Optometrist - Cataract Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-assessment appointments for patients referred for cataract surgery
- Provide follow-up and routine appointments for our consultant-led elective ophthalmic services
- Work closely with our experienced Ophthalmic Consultants to deliver an outstanding cataract service
- Develop your skills and expertise in a supportive and forward-looking department
About You
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Optometrist with experience in pre and post-assessments of patients referred for refractive surgery. You will have a strong understanding of ophthalmic surgical care provision and ophthalmic disease. In return, you can expect:

Person Specification
Essential
- NVQ Level 3 or BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences or an equivalent pharmacy technician qualification
- Registered with General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Accredited Checking Technician (ACT) or willing to work towards ACT
- National Medicines Management Accreditation or equivalent
Desirable
