Accounts Assistant Job Description

Onemedia Services Limited is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, and assisting with financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, and reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
  • Invoice Processing: Process invoices, verify details, and ensure timely payments, and assist with resolving invoice discrepancies.
  • Data Entry: Enter financial data into accounting software, update spreadsheets and databases, and review employee expense reports and process reimbursements.
  • Credit Control: Chase late payments and manage accounts receivable, and monitor company expenses and report any irregularities.
  • Assist with Month-End Close: Prepare journal entries and assist in closing the books, and help with financial reporting and analysis.
  • General Administrative Tasks: Answer phone calls and handle enquiries related to accounts, and assist in filing and organizing financial documents.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a variety of tasks.
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and teamwork abilities.
Benefits:
  • Salary between £24,000 and £30,000 (depending on experience).

Reporting Structure:

The Accounts Assistant will report to the Finance Manager.
