About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Sussex Community NHS Trust. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients, supporting them to live independently and return home when it is safe for them to do so.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to patients, including washing, toileting, and other essential tasks.
  • Assist patients with their daily needs, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to deliver excellent patient care.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including shifts and weekends.
