About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Youth Development Worker to join our team. As a key member of our Children's Integrated Services, you will be responsible for the effective development and delivery of youth provision in various settings, including centre-based, outreach, and detached settings.

You will work closely with colleagues across Children's Integrated Services and a range of voluntary and community organisations to ensure the joint co-ordination and delivery of positive activities for young people. Your primary goal will be to facilitate and support the personal, social, and educational development of children and young people, ensuring that their needs are met and their potential is realised.

Key responsibilities will include overseeing volunteers, ensuring the safe use of delivery sites and provisions, and planning and delivering high-quality youth work sessions that promote active engagement and achieve effective outcomes. You will also be expected to advocate and influence across partnerships to achieve successful outcomes for children and young people.

To be successful in this role, you will require a minimum of Level 3 Qualification in Youth Work, JNC qualification in youth work, or equivalent. You will also need to have experience providing high-quality services for children and young people, including those at risk of anti-social behaviour and youth violence.

Additionally, you will need to demonstrate good knowledge and experience of planning, co-ordinating, and leading youth work sessions to achieve effective outcomes in various settings. You will also need to have the ability to achieve successful outcomes for children and young people by advocating and influencing across partnerships.
