AWS DevOps Engineer Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Agile team, you will design, develop, and maintain cloud infrastructure using a tailored SAFe Agile SecDevOps Scrum process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop cloud infrastructure using AWS services and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
  • Automate server configurations for security, including logging, key management, and system hardening, using tools like Ansible.
  • Utilize scripting languages such as Bash, Python, PowerShell, Go, and JavaScript to automate processes and optimize workflows.
  • Deploy and manage containers with Docker, and use Ansible for configuration management in cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with Agile teams to translate user stories into technical deliverables, while communicating effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Perform software deployment across multiple environments, using Trunk-based development or GitFlow strategies.
  • Manage AWS cloud infrastructure, including VPCs, DNS, Load Balancing, and other related services.
  • Set up and manage monitoring and logging systems within AWS to ensure stability, performance, and operational visibility.
  • Apply strong problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate risks, focusing on DevOps best practices.

Requirements:

  • Certified AWS DevOps Engineer
  • Clearance to Start BPSS
  • Clearance for Role SC
  • Must be a UK Citizen and based in UK for the duration
  • Must have, or be able to obtain, a UK SC Clearance
