Job Title: Advanced Sales CAD Assistant

We are seeking an experienced CAD Operator to join our team at D&M Design & Fabrication. As an Advanced Sales CAD Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our sales team by providing accurate and detailed 3D models for customer approval and pricing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret customer 2D or 3D drawings and sketches to create accurate 3D models in SolidWorks.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to provide complete 3D models for quoting software to achieve accurate quotes.
  • Liaise with suppliers to obtain material and outsourced part prices.
  • Assist with the drawing office during busy periods to process jobs for the shop floor and drawing jobs for customer approval.
Requirements:
  • 5 years of overall experience in CAD design and fabrication.
  • 2.5 years of experience in sheet metal and fabrication.
  • 2.5 years of experience in SolidWorks.
  • Very good understanding of both 2D and 3D drawings.
Desired Skills:
  • Sheet metal and fabrication experience.
  • SolidWorks proficiency, particularly with sheet metal tools.
  • Excellent communication skills.
