CAD Technician Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our team at Bennett & Game Recruitment, a leading technical recruitment agency. As a CAD Technician, you will play a crucial role in interpreting and translating design concepts and ideas into accurate and detailed technical drawings using CAD software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpreting and translating design concepts and ideas into accurate and detailed technical drawings using CAD software.
  • Collaborating with design engineers and architects to gather product and structural requirements and designs.
  • Adjusting and revising drawings as necessary, based on feedback from team members or clients.
  • Conducting quality control checks to ensure conformity with specifications and existing standards.
  • Preparing and presenting rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders.
  • Producing accurate as-built floor plans and elevations from point cloud data.
  • Assisting in the management of project files and CAD library.
  • Providing assistance and support to team members during the design and planning process.

Requirements:

  • Holds professional qualifications in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) or a relevant qualification.
  • Proven work experience as a CAD Technician.
  • Proficient in Revit.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with engineering or architectural design concepts and terminologies.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of ISO 19650 standards for managing information over the whole life cycle of the project.
