Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to join our Cell Biology team at our Discovery Centre laboratories in London. As a Research Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research projects, develop new assays and models, and contribute to the advancement of our company's mission to save and improve lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct experiments on stem cells and glial cells to investigate biochemistry and signalling in neurodegeneration, with a focus on neurogenesis and cellular senescence.
  • Support the development of new assays, models, and methods to advance our research.
  • Communicate research findings effectively through oral and written reports.
  • Stay up-to-date with published research and apply this knowledge to guide internal research.
  • Assist with general laboratory duties, including ordering and cell line checks.
Requirements
  • You will be a current student looking to complete a 12-month student internship as part of your undergraduate degree.
  • Studying a Biological sciences degree (or equivalent qualification).
  • Strong understanding of molecular and cellular biology and biochemistry.
  • Practical laboratory experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Understanding of statistical analysis is desirable.
