Construction Project Manager

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our regional commercial team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day commercial aspects of construction projects up to GBP5m.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure optimum commercial return is achieved for the project.
- Prepare cost/value reconciliation reports accurately.
- Prepare and agree interim valuations at the agreed dates to gain the best commercial advantage for the company.
- Prepare and agree final accounts with clients' representatives.
- Agree final accounts with subcontractors to maximise project margins.
- Maintain control of subcontractors' accounts and minimise the cost of any variations.
- Manage subcontracts in terms of valuation and correspondence.
- Carry out duties as a Quantity Surveyor on projects as instructed.
Requirements:
- Solid experience with either a national or regional main contractor.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience working as a QS or Estimator on projects.
- Quantity Surveying or Building/Construction-related qualification would be advantageous.
- Good understanding and knowledge of the construction industry, including the ability to read architectural drawings and understand the construction process.
- The ability to prepare contractors' quantities from specifications and drawings.
- Cost control, cost management, and cost reporting skills.
