Role Overview:
As a Monitoring Solutions Engineer, you will be pivotal in executing the strategy and product roadmaps for our monitoring technologies, aligning with the broader architectural framework of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be expected to demonstrate expertise in the following areas:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM): Including Management Pack authoring using Visual Studio Authoring Extensions (VSAE).
  • Understanding of Monitoring Technologies: Experience in leveraging various monitoring technologies to extract insights and deliver business value.
  • Multi-Unit Monitoring Platforms: Experience in managing monitoring platforms that cater to diverse business units and use cases, including Security and IT Operations.
  • Integration Skills: Ability to integrate monitoring tools with data sources and other automation and ITSM tools.
  • Process Automation: Driving efficiencies through the automation of manual processes.
  • Data Analysis: Strong analytical skills to correlate data from multiple sources.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple workstreams while meeting deadlines and addressing conflicting demands.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Good judgment and analytical skills to balance and analyze various information sources.
  • Agile and ITIL Familiarity: Experience working within Agile methodologies and ITIL frameworks.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills to present information effectively to various stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Relationship Management: Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with business colleagues.
  • Influencing Skills: Ability to engage, influence, and challenge partners effectively.
  • Cloud Knowledge: Familiarity with cloud environments, infrastructure automation tools, and security.

Desirable Experience:
Familiarity with technologies such as SCORCH, xMatters, SquaredUp, Azure for DevOps, Jira, Confluence, Prometheus, and Azure Monitor. Practical expertise in performance tuning, optimization, and problem analysis will be advantageous.
