Overview:
A fantastic opportunity has emerged for a Logistics Coordinator to join a well-established manufacturer in the Worcester area. This role promises a dynamic work environment with genuine opportunities for long-term career advancement and professional growth within a leading organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
2. Manage inventory levels effectively, ensuring optimal stock availability, conducting audits, and minimizing surplus inventory.
3. Assist in the training and development of logistics personnel.
4. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials, including price negotiations.
5. Supplier Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
6. Identify areas for process enhancement to boost efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) - either holding or pursuing these certifications.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain management.
- Proficient in supply chain management software systems such as ERP, WMS, TMS, etc.
- Strong understanding of inventory control, forecasting, and optimization techniques.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement processes.
- Excellent communication abilities.
