Connect Appointments is seeking a skilled Safety Advisor to join one of our esteemed clients in Dunfermline. This temporary opportunity, covering maternity leave, offers a competitive salary of £35,000 to £38,000 per annum.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough safety risk assessments prior to commencing new projects
- Review and ensure all work procedures meet industry safety standards
- Prepare and maintain accurate reports for accidents and safety breaches
- Stay up-to-date with the latest health, safety, and environment regulations
- Oversee the safe installation of equipment and manage external contractors
- Deliver in-house training sessions on health and safety awareness
- Monitor incident metrics and apply findings to improve safety protocols
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform job duties
- Strong team spirit and ability to work in high-pressure environments
- Research and analytical skills to identify and mitigate risks
- Negotiation skills to resolve conflicts and issues
- Proficiency in relevant software packages
