Role Overview:

As a Specialist Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a therapy service tailored to the unique needs of a diverse group of children. Your caseload will encompass various educational settings, including mainstream and specialist schools, where you will provide support at universal, targeted, and specialist levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, student-centered therapy sessions across multiple schools.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive support for each child.
  • Maintain effective communication with children, families, and educational staff.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and training opportunities.
  • Participate in regular supervision and mentoring sessions to enhance your skills.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Dependable and professional.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Empathetic and patient in approach.
  • Strong report writing and documentation skills.
  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in paediatric speech and language therapy, ideally within educational environments.
  • A keen interest in developing expertise in your area of practice.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Full HCPC registration or in the process of obtaining it.
  • Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) Check.
