Position Overview:
The Manufacturing Team Supervisor is responsible for guiding the assembly team to fulfill the production schedule driven by customer requirements. This role collaborates with the Planning and Inventory departments to ensure that the production team has the necessary components to meet demand effectively. The supervisor will also monitor downtime issues daily and work closely with management to implement lean practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Working Schedule: Monday to Thursday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM and Friday from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership Responsibilities (up to 20% Focus)

  • Ensure team members adhere to safety protocols and PPE requirements.
  • Facilitate daily meetings to encourage participation in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Inspire and evaluate team members through regular appraisals.
  • Communicate objectives clearly to the team and manage resources effectively.
  • Assist in the onboarding and training of new employees.
  • Promote compliance with company and industry regulations.
  • Conduct return-to-work interviews and manage disciplinary actions.
  • Oversee health and safety in the workplace, including risk assessments and training.
  • Act as Fire Marshal, ensuring safety protocols are understood and followed.

Functional Responsibilities (80% Focus)

  • Manage workflow to meet daily production targets and address any issues promptly.
  • Escalate production challenges to relevant teams for immediate resolution.
  • Lead daily performance review meetings with the team to implement corrective actions.
  • Engage in cross-team meetings to assess overall production performance.
  • Contribute to lean manufacturing initiatives, including layout optimization and time analysis.
  • Participate in product assembly while adhering to standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain training records and implement training plans as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with holiday policies and manage off-process activities.
  • Monitor workplace organization and cleanliness through 5S practices.
  • Be available for occasional overtime to facilitate joint leadership meetings.
