About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the legal function at the heart of a rapidly growing, global business, and to work with senior management to help accelerate the growth of the business and position the Group for further success.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Trusted Advisor and Legal Business Partner
  • Provide timely and competent legal advice to Group Marketing & Innovation, Group Procurement, and Group IT.
  • Review and negotiate customer contracts, third-party agreements, and regulatory applications.
  • Provide legal support throughout the new product development process and maintain knowledge of new, existing, and legacy brands, products, and services.
Management of Group and Local IP Portfolio
  • Manage and maintain the Group's intellectual property portfolio.
Support for Group Procurement Function
  • Review and negotiate general supplier/service provider terms and conditions.
  • Advising on, implementing, and updating the Group Procurement Policy and Procurement Contracts Minimum Standards.
Supporting Group IT Function
  • Provide legal advice on AI regulation and maintain and develop GenAI & AI Policy.
  • Advising on AI use and AI as a service contracting.
Horizon Scanning and Legal Support
  • Horizon scan for new legislation/regulation/case law impacting the function and provide appropriate advice.
  • Provision and management of new queries/legal help desk and Group Legal's intake process.
Requirements
  • Legal Expertise
    • Strong analytical skills and significant experience of dealing with complex legal issues.
    • Delivery of straightforward, pragmatic, action-oriented advice.
  • Excellent Communication Skills
    • Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
  • Influencing and Strategic Thinking
    • A strong ability to affect the behavior of multiple stakeholders.
    • Ability to think strategically and creatively, to identify and resolve legal issues.
  • Business Acumen and Teamwork
    • Interest in understanding the business in depth, and operating within a dynamic, international context.
    • Able to work well as a team member and build strong relationships based on rapport and trust with both internal and external stakeholders.
