SEMH Teacher Opportunity

Prospero Teaching is working with a SEMH School in Batley to find an experienced SEMH Teacher / Tutor / Instructor.

This school caters for secondary aged pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school offers a range of enriching educational opportunities, including academic, functional, and vocational skills.

As an SEMH teacher, you will work directly with young people, guiding them to achieve their full potential. The role requires a holistic and nurturing approach from someone who is empathetic and understanding of the needs of the students.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for engaging hard-to-reach pupils and a strong classroom presence. You will work with children and young people in innovative, therapeutic, and meaningful activities, supporting them in learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage challenging behaviour positively and in line with the school's ethos and procedures.
  • Plan lessons to meet the needs of children and tailor them to the needs of each student.
  • Provide a positive and nurturing environment for children with a range of needs.
  • Motivate, engage, and inspire children.
  • Dedicate to the safeguarding of young people.

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with the opportunity to start ASAP.
